  • The Joy Formidable have shared new details about their highly-anticipated album, Hitch. The LP, which is the band's first full-length since 2013's Wolf Law, will drop on March 25. Today they've shared the first single "The Last Thing On My Mind" and it's video. Frontwoman Rhiannon "Ritzy" Bryan described the track and visual:
“It’s a song about freedom, about feeling alive & a part of that is about sexual liberation too, which is why we wanted to make a music video from the perspective of a heterosexual female gaze. It shows men in many forms, being free, being sexy, being watched, it’s beautiful and provocative and is some small attempt to re-address the existing imbalance of perspective and nudity in music videos.”

  • Rostam Batmanglij has left Vampire Weekend. Rostam has been with the band since its 2006 formation at Columbia University. He announced his departure on Twitter:
"Hi - I wanted to let ppl know I'm no longer a member of VW but that Ezra and I will continue to collaborate on future projects + future VW songs. My identity as a songwriter + producer, I realized, needs to stand on its own. Still connected to the ppl I work with, but through the songs we make together."

  • Former WU LYF frontman Ellery Roberts debuted a video from his new project, LUH (Lost Under Heaven), formed with a/v artist Ebony Hoorn. "I&I" is the first song officially released since the duo signed to Mute. Look for a new album sometime in the future, and if you're in Europe, check out their 4-city tour this March.

  • Flowers have shared "Bitter Pill," a biting new song with mellow vocals and abrasive instrumentals. The London indie-pop trio will drop their new album Everybody's Dying to Meet You on February 12. [Stereogum]

  • British indie rockers The Big Pink have shared the video for "Hightimes" from their upcoming album, The Empire Underground (out March 4). The video is shot in black and white, with random bursts of red, that gives it that dramatic, comic book movie feel. [Stereogum]
