  • Austin-based group Shearwater, led by singer/songwriter Jonathan Meiburg (above), share a clip for the track "Quiet Americans," off their forthcoming ninth full-length Jet Plane And Oxbow. Director Alex Rapine captures a dapper Meiburg at his most sinister. Jet Plane And Oxbow will be out January 22nd via Sub Pop, and KEXP presents the band on Friday, March 25th at The Crocodile. • More new videos, this time from Beirut who take us on a trip in the clip for "Perth," off last year's album No No No. The split screen video, directed by Clara Aranovich, was filmed in Yosemite and Santa Monica and spotlights dancer Maceo Paisley. Aranovich explains, "There’s something in the rhythm and sound of ‘Perth’ that immediately conjures images in my mind of funk-era dance; I knew I wanted to throw back to that period. Nature is a somewhat like a church to me — a place of reverence that is deeply democratic in that it belongs to both everyone and no one. These places are as beautiful as they are a neutral canvas, as real as they are surreal." Watch below: [Pitchfork]

  • Minneapolis-based project Poliça release their third album, United Crushers, this March. Get a sneak peek with the single "Wedding" below. Vocalist Channy Leaneagh tells Stereogum the track "is about the marriage between the militarization of police in America and the drug trade. How they feed off of each other and get fat and powerful at the expense of all of us. It is a serious song, but I hope it moves you to hope all the same." [Consequence of Sound]

  • Last night, UK group Savages took the stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform two tracks from their forthcoming full-length Adore Life, out tomorrow on Matador. Watch their takes on "The Answer" and "Adore" below, and keep track of all these late-night television highlights with KEXP's TV Eye. [Under the Radar]
