  • If you caught the Father John Misty video for "The Night Josh Tillman Came to Our Apartment," you might've marveled at the technology that allowed Josh Tillman to pick himself up at a bar and take himself home for a romantic evening. Today, Sub Pop reveals a behind-the-scenes look at how they made it happen: a stand-in, named Kyle. ("How does it feel to be Father John Misty?" he's asked. "It feels natural," he replies, with a smile.) Watch both videos below: [Pitchfork]

  • Not only do !!! have one of the best album covers this year -- for their forthcoming sixth studio album, As If, out October 16th, and seriously, check it out here -- the NYC dance-punks have just released an equally fun video. Check out the clip for "Bam City" below, featuring a kitchen dance party with the album cover star (and keep your eyes peeled, no pun intended, for "Bam Kitty.") The boys bring the party back to Seattle on Tuesday, December 1st at The Crocodile. [Spin]

  • You'll never believe it, but Ty Segall has added yet another band to his busy schedule: along with Charles Moothart of FUZZ and Chris Shaw of Ex-Cult, he's formed the trio GØGGS. Check out their first single "She Got Harder" below, out this November on In The Red Records. Shaw explains, "Ty and I decided we were going to start a band together when Ex-Cult opened for his band on the Slaughterhouse tour in 2013. A couple years later when the plans were solidified, it only made sense that thrash master Charles Moothart should get in on the experience. The three of us have been friends for years at this point, crashing at each others houses and riffling through each others record collections after a night of performing, partying, or both. This is not a side-project, it is a necessity. GØGGS is three heads, one spine, circling the drain of the wasteland known as mother earth." [Consequence of Sound]

  • Get yourself pumped up for My Morning Jacket's two-night stand in Seattle this weekend. The Southern quintet share a clip for the track "Compound Fracture," filmed at Colorado's famed Red Rocks venue by director Danny Clinch. My Morning Jacket play Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd at The Moore Theatre with Strand of Oaks. [Stereogum]
