It's hard to believe this festival is only in its third year: Macefield Music Festival takes over Ballard this weekend, from Friday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 4th, with an amazing array of local artists across many venues.
The festival was named in tribute to Edith Macefield, the fiercely-independent neighborhood resident who refused to sell her property to real estate developers. In her honor, the festival activates independently-owned local businesses and clubs, showcasing the best in Seattle music.
This year's highlights include Mark Lanegan, Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter, Grace Love & the True Loves, Thunderpussy, Fox & the Law, OC Notes, Blood Drugs, The Kent 3, Coffin Break, Don’t Talk To The Cops, Gaythiest, Kinski, Girl Trouble, Ayron Jones, and many others.
