Summer is winding down, but you can celebrate with one last bonfire this weekend. On Saturday, August 15th, head to Hillard's Brewery in Ballard for the latest JanSport Bonfire Sessions, a nationwide free outdoor concert series that "brings together music fans, bands and a bonfire under the big sky."
Under Seattle's sky, we get Dan Bejar of Destroyer, whose new album, Poison Season, hits stores August 28th via Merge Records. When not performing with The New Pornographers, Bejar has honed a career under the destructive moniker, exploring everything from yacht rock to Spanish ballads. The witty, wild-haired artist will perform alongside fellow Vancouver band The Belle Game and local favorites Dude York. As if that line-up isn't enticing enough, there will also be complimentary beers.
And did we mention, the whole thing is FREE? But you have to RSVP, so if you're 21+, click here to do so. (Please note: an RSVP does not guarantee entry into the event, so it's recommended that attendees arrive early.)
