In the late '80s, three fellas outta Illinois — Jay Farrar, Jeff Tweedy, and Mike Heidorn — formed the influential alt-country band Uncle Tupelo. When the band broke up in 1994, Farrar went on to form Son Volt, while Tweedy created Wilco. Tonight, Thursday, February 26th, all those branches of the roots rock family tree will be brought together at the Tractor Tavern as local musicians pay tribute to all three of those bands.
