  • Sam Beam's new label Black Cricket Recording Co. has released Archive Series Volume No. 1, the first collection in a series of archival Iron & Wine songs. Most of the tracks were recorded while he was working on his 2002 debut, The Creek Drank The Cradle. The album will officially drop on February 24, but you can stream the album below via Billboard.   • METZ have announced a May 5 release date for their upcoming 10-track LP, METZ II, on Seattle's own Sub Pop. According to a press release, the sophomore album will be "much heavier, darker, and sloppier.” Along with this exciting news, they've shared the album's first single "Acetate." [CoS]

  • Brothers Daniel and Andrew Aged, a.k.a. inc., are back with new music after a split with their record label 4AD. "A Tear Drop from Below" is a stunning piece of emotional R&B and you can practically feel the heartbreak. [Stereogum]

  • Singer-songwriter Matthew E. White will drop his latest album, Flesh and Blood on March 9. He's debuted the video for "Rock & Roll is Cold," the album's lead single. White croons along to the song while he hikes through some gorgeous Salt Lake City landscapes. [CoS]
