  • Ten Commandos, a Seattle punk supergroup, have released their debut single "Staring Down the Dust." Members of the band include Pearl Jam's Matt Cameron, Queens of the Stone Age collaborator Allain Johannes, and Ben Shepherd of Soundgarden. The song features guest vocals from Screaming Tree's Mark Lanegan. Ten Commandos will drop their debut album in November. [CoS]

  • Word on the street is that James Blake has been busy working with Kanye West and Justin Vernon on his new album Radio Silence. There's no release date yet, but hopefully it's sooner rather than later. Until then, here's a little something to hold you over. Blake covered Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" during his recent BBC Radio DJ residency. [CoS]

  • The Decemberists have shared the video for their What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World track "Cavalry Captain". The video casts frontman Colin Meloy as the leader of some sort os mystical religion/cult. The band's latest EP, Florasongs, is out today. [Pitchfork]

  • During an appearance on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Radio show, Neon Indian premiered a new song called "The Glitzy Hive." It's a bright and funky track that really lives up to it's name. His upcoming album VEGA INTL. Night School drops on October 16. [SPIN]
