  • Levi's has produced a short documentary, titled Skateboarding In Pine Ridge, which features an original score by Slint's David Pajo, and a brand new song from Cat Power, titled "Anthem." Watch the 17-minute film below to hear both. Director Greg Hunt captures two skatepark-building projects in South Dakota. A press release states, "Pine Ridge is largely reported in the media as an impoverished community with a drug and alcohol epidemic and teen suicide rates seven to ten times greater than the National average. When the Levi’s team visited the reservation, they found a generation inspired – a group of people championing each other through their collective actions." [Stereogum]
