  • Swedish sibling duo The Knife have announced they'll be calling it quits after an abundantly creative 15 year career. Karin Dreijer told Dazed & Confused, "When we finish the tour now in November we will close down, it’s our last tour. We don’t have any obligations to continue, it should only and always be for fun." Their final performance will be on November 8th at the Iceland Airwaves Festival. [Consequence of Sound]
  • Run the Jewels, the dynamic duo of El-P and Killer Mike, share the track "Blockbuster Night Part 1" from their forthcoming album, RTJ2, out October 28th on Mass Appeal. Their sophomore release features guest appearances from Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack De La Rocha, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, and Yo La Tengo's James McNew. [Rolling Stone]

  • Ethereal electro project M83 are reissuing their first three albums on August 25th via Mute, and to celebrate, mastermind Anthony Gonzales shares the previously unreleased video for "Lower Your Eyelids to Die with the Sun." Watch the cinematic clip below: [Pitchfork]

  • Aphex Twin will release his first new album in 13 years, SYRO, out September 23rd on Warp Records. And in typical Aphex-fashion, the artist formally known as Richard James released a press release, referring to himself as a "celebrated and influential electronic fartist" and sharing an enigmatic track list that I hope for our DJs sake isn't real.
