It may be the 43rd year of the Fremont Fair, but it's the inaugural year for the accompanying Solstice Concert Series! And they're kicking things off in a big way, as only you would expect from the neighborhood that calls itself the "Center of the Universe."
From Friday, June 20th through Sunday, June 22nd, the Fremont Fair hosts its annual Solstice Parade, Seattle Art Car Blow-Out, Solstice Yoga, and Dog Parade, as well as crafts, buskers, and the big purple slide.
And then on Friday night, indie rock icons Built to Spill headline the main stage, with opening acts Campfire Ok, Tacocat, and The Young Evils. On Saturday, the fair celebrates local hip-hop and funk with Cascadia '10, The Flavr Blue, The Physics, and headliners, Blue Scholars.
