  • Everyone's talking about the upcoming new album from Spoon, but what about Britt Daniel's other project Divine Fits? Not content to sit on the sidelines, Dan Boeckner and drummer Sam Brown have started a new project called Operators, and their debut album will be out later this year.   • Just in time for summer, check out this new video from La Sera, whose latest album Hour of the Dawn is out now on Hardly Art. In this clip, former Vivian Girls-bassist Katy Goodman strolls the streets with her adorable pup. Watch: [Under the Radar]

  • It's been a while since we've heard from Icelandic metal band Sólstafir, who were last live on KEXP in 2012 from our Iceland Airwaves Music Festival broadcast (watch that here).   • Never give up: after 38 years, punk pioneers The Ramones have received a gold record for their 1976 self-titled debut. The Recording Industry Association of America has officially certified that the album finally sold 500,000 copies. No word on how many copies of the album were lovingly taped and traded amongst music enthusiasts, how many bands The Ramones influenced, or how many t-shirts with their logo on it have been sold at Hot Topic.
