You could feel the weight of the road lifted from their shoulders. After wrapping up their North American tour with a packed, energetic show at The Neptune the night before, indie-rock legends Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks joined us in the KEXP studios with Springtime on their minds. "It's pretty perfect weather," Malkmus noted. "Sometimes tours end in dark places, snowy, ice storms. And perhaps it's a nice representation of how the tour went, 'cause it ended on a sunny note." They casually and playfully ran through songs off their latest release, Wig Out At Jagbags. From behind dark sunglasses, Malkmus smiled, "Public radio DJ's have always wanted to say 'Jagbag' on the air! It's light and lively, cheap and cheerful, loose yet tight... just like us!"
