Like the wily vikings who first settled there, Ballard has risen victorious, staking their claim in KEXP's Hood-to-Hood Challenge with their fifth win in the nine years we've held the competition. Join us this Friday, May 30th as we toast their 'hood with an all-day party throughout the neighborhood.
This year's live broadcast will be held at Hilliard’s Beer Taproom [1550 NW 49th Street] from noon to 5:00 PM. KEXP DJs Cheryl Waters and Kevin Cole will be on the air, with special live performances that are FREE, all ages, and open to the public!
Will Ballard continue to plunder the riches of our Hood-to-Hood Celebration? Other neighborhoods will have the chance to wrench the crown away during our 2014 Hood-to-Hood Challenge, held during KEXP’s Summer One-Day Fundraising Drive on Friday, June 13th.
See you in Ballard!
Get ready for the trippiest Audioasis Benefit show yet: this Saturday, June 7th, KEXP’s Community Partnerships Initiative presents local psych-sensations Low Hums, Our Mother The Mountain, and Kingdom of the Holy Sun.

If you haven’t already called in sick to work on Friday yet, then do it now and get over to Ballard for Hood-to-Hood Day…
