Nothing says the start of the summer quite like the Northwest Folklife Festival, the nation's largest community powered festival... and KEXP's future neighbors at Seattle Center! Now in its 43rd year, Northwest Folklife Festival is a family affair, with the expanded hands-on Discovery Zone and nearly non-stop family-friendly performances and activities.

This year's Memorial Day Weekend schedule is packed with terrific local and national acts alike, including Golden Gardens, Stag, Levi Fuller, Cahalen Morrison, Country Lips, Tango Alpha Tango, and Star Anna, just to mention a few, as well as a number of our recent KEXP non-profit community partners, including the Bushwick Book Society, and a Reel Grrls Showcase. And did we mention it's free? Happy summer!
