atTentIoN, huManS of eArtH. Hightek Lowlives bring greetings and great sounds from the distant future. The Seattle duo of Otieno Terry and Kjell Nelson toss everything you know about R&B, beat-making, hip-hop and rap, throw it into a time-machine, and send it careening like a bizarre blast from the funky future's past. Joined by GT Droid (Gabriel Teodros), Hightek Lowlives transported to the KEXP studio to play a far reaching set of songs from their album, Humanoid Void. In addition to Nelson's delicate cosmic beats, Otieno Terry, winner of 2014's Sound Off! competition, brings angelic, otherworldly vocals to distinguish the band as another groundbreaking Seattle-based hip-hop contender. opEn yOur eArs:
