We love our moms at KEXP!

Whether it's singing us to sleep, or taking us to our first shows, it's often our mothers who provide us with our first real musical connection to the world.

We've got some great memories of moms at the station, from Rachel Flotard of Visqueen, who dropped by KEXP with her oldest when he was a baby, to the mom of one of the band members of Drowners, who watched her son's first KEXP in-studio from the sound booth — not to mention, all the great DJ requests from moms celebrating a child's birthday or dancing in the kitchen with the kids.

For most, it's a sweet day filled with french toast, flowers and phone calls, but this day can be a hard one, as well, and our hearts go out to anyone who's lost his or her mom and is missing her today. Here's to honoring our mothers and the memories of our mothers.

To all the moms out there, wishing you a Happy Mother's Day.
