In 1998, Old Crow Medicine Show were busking in front of Pike Place Market. In 2014, they're headlining the 2,800-capacity Paramount Theatre. Along the way, the Nashville, Tennessee-based group became one of the primary figures in the 2000s roots music revival, bringing the same energy from their busking days onto stages across the globe. After a brief break and a reunion with some of the band's original members, the group returned in the early 2010s stronger than ever, releasing some of their best work in 2012's Carry Me Home and this year's Remedy. When they made their KEXP debut on a Thursday morning last September, their fervent performance was augmented with the band's charismatic banter (panting and barking during "8 Dogs 8 Banjos", a number of remarks about how early they were playing).
