  • Here's one of the most unexpectedly amazing mash-ups you're likely to hear. Music producer Mr. Troublesome is working on a new mash-up album called What's a Black Beatle that will be released later this summer. Today we have the first single, "Southside My Dear," which features Kanye West's hit "Southside" and The Beatles' classic "Martha My Dear." This combination is pretty genius. Take a listen below. • Glass Candy have shared the music video for the track "Beautiful Object." The video is a compilation of footage from the band's Montreal recording studio and there is some pretty awesome light filtration going on. [Pitchfork]

  • Montreal band Braids has shared a new song, "In Kind," that will soon to be featured on their upcoming 12" record. It's six minutes of guitar effects and ethereal vocals by Raphaelle Standell-Preston. The combination is almost angelic. The In Kind // Amends 12" will be available on June 11. [Stereogum]

  • Producer Gold Panda, a.k.a. Derwin Powers, has dropped the second single off his sophomore LP, Half of Where You Live (out June 11 via Ghostly International). "We Work Nights" is an intoxicating mix of thumping bass, strumming guitars, and some beautiful Middle Eastern sitars. You can catch Gold Panda at the Decibel Festival here in Seattle on September 28. Tickets are available here. [CoS]
