Probably among the most beloved hilarious trouble making tongue in cheek Canadians making the music rounds right now is Mac DeMarco - and he's all of these things plus some in his new video for "My Kind of Woman" off his recent album 2. Plus he's in drag. Sort of - and he winks like a pro every time you go to look away. Comic genius or brilliant musician? Both. Check out DeMarco's world and see if you don't just end up loving that kind of gross close-up of the gap between his two from teeth (possible Viceroy stained?). [Pitchfork]

The Bonnaroo lineup was announced today and it looks great! Lots of KEXP favorites, like Alt-J, Grizzly Bear, Tame Impala, Father John Misty, Ariel Pink, The xx, Wilco, and many others, including some old favorites like Tom Petty and Paul McCartney.

Sub Pop's current dream pop duo of choice, Still Corners, is currently streaming their upcoming album Strange Pleasures at Pitchfork Advance. We already saw the beautiful video for "Berlin Lovers" - which was actually filmed in Seattle though the duo is London-based - and the album lives up to the singles. They somehow pull off both poppy dream like wistfulness while still being playfully disco inspired. Strange Pleasures is a nostalgia filled album, written by a band who matured in their sound a while ago.

Toronto band Austra has a video for "Home" - a recently released single from next months Olymbic. Katie Stelmanis amazingly rich and emotive voice fills the track, while she sits rather sadly in her dressing room - perhaps sad in thoughts of the one who won't come home at night. The video is oddly transfixing for being so simple. [Stereogum]

Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum is taking a break from his current solo life and announced that he and the rest of the band will reunite! Right now there are only a few shows scheduled, but apparently more will be announced soon enough. It will be almost 15 years since the band played a show together. Judging by the consistency with which you run into posters of their iconic album In The Areoplane Over The Sea, tickets for these shows will go fast. [Stereogum]

Arcade Fire's violinist Sarah Neufeld has announced an upcoming solo album and released a beautiful track from the album - "Hero Brother". The album was recorded by the genius electronic/experimental classical composer (who will make you cry at every show) Nils Frahm in many locations including a geodesic dome, and an underground garage - and in this track the distant echos add a stuttering emotive ambiance. Vancouver punks White Lung snuck onto a military base somewhere outside of Boise, ID and delivered this too-cool-for-school performance of "Saint Dad". Apparently as soon as they hopped the fence all their phones went dead, and then they were abducted and taken to space. Okay, not true, but the track is outter space good, and their phones did die. Portland's Wampire has a great new love-lorn track "Trains" from Curiosity. I think Eric Phipps's explanation of the single is the best way to understand the psych-pop track - "'Trains' was written during a time when I was young and overly idealistic about love. A lady was driving me wild with her strange affection and I was naively waiting for it to 'mean something' or whatever. When she finally skipped town, I was sitting on a train that was delayed for some reason or another and started humming the melody that later became 'Trains".
