Do you wish more people knew about your favorite nonprofit (besides KEXP, obviously)? Do you dream of putting on a kickass concert on its behalf? If you answered “yes” to both of those questions, then KEXP has an opportunity for you.

Here at KEXP we’re firm believers in standing up for causes we believe in, especially close to home. That’s why we launched the KEXP Community Partnership Initiative (CPI) in 2006. KEXP’s CPI provides critical exposure for local nonprofit organizations serving a variety of sectors, including Arts & Culture, Housing, Education, Environment, and Health & Human Services.

KEXP 90.3FM is now accepting proposals for the 2013-2014 CPI cycle. Our goal is to support organizations who serve the Puget Sound region with a total organization budget under $2 million and whose programs will spark engagement between the community and their organization. Applications must be submitted by May 3, 2013.

If selected, KEXP will promote your organization’s mission on-air and online at KEXP.ORG for one month. We’ll broadcast an interview and testimonials featuring a representative from your organization, and host a benefit concert at a local venue, with all proceeds going to your nonprofit.

In the previous CPI cycle, bands including Dude York, Don’t Talk to the Cops, Ravenna Woods, and Walking Papers (featuring Duff McKagan and Barrett Martin) donated their services and played in support of YouthCare, Climate Solutions, Food Lifeline, and other CPI beneficiaries.

Want to learn more? Of course you do. Visit KEXP.ORG for more information on how to apply—and good luck.
