Suzi Quatro is probably the first person I've covered in this blog series who was also a cast member on Happy Days - which I watched quite a bit as a kid, but I don't remember much of. But perhaps Quatro's bass-playing character Leather Tuscadero was an early influence, subconsciously leading me to pick up the bass myself in later life? (A Google image search of "Leather Tuscadero" provides evidence that an impressionable young fellow might have responded quite positively to such a character.)
But! Before and since her appearance on TV, Quatro has had quite a formidable musical career. She recently released her fifteenth studio album, almost forty years after her first album and 45 years after her first single - she's released 8 or 9 albums since this greatest hits collection came out. She was also, according to the internet, the first female bass player to become a major rock star. Oh, plus this album cover rules. All hail Suzi Quatro!
