New Jersey-based outfit Garcia Peoples wear their influences on their sleeve, or more specifically, on their band name: not only do they pay tribute to the Grateful Dead with their moniker, but they salute Jerry Garcia and company with their psych-rock jams and sun-drenched harmonies.

But the Dead aren't the only band they're inspired by. In an interview with Relix, guitarist Danny Arakaki gives a little insight into today's featured track:

“‘Break Me Down’ was one of the first tracks we got to develop in the studio as we were recording. It’s pretty much responsible for the two guitar jamming we do live. Definitely a tune filled with nods to all our favorite influences like Television, Love, etc.”
