Blur guitarist Graham Coxon has been composing the soundtrack for the Channel 4/Netflix drama The End of the F***ing World since it premiered in 2017. The TV series is based on a self-published mini-comic by artist Charles Forman that was later re-released as a graphic novel by Seattle publisher Fantagraphics Books.
“Matt Biffa, who is a music supervisor, contacted me about the show and Jonathan [Entwistle], who co-directed, wanted me to do it," Coxon told NME last year. "We met and talked about it, and I read the scripts and I sort of bought myself a copy of the comic book. Scripts are interesting to read, they’re not like novels.”
Season 2 of the TV show launched last month, as did another soundtrack from Coxon, including today's featured track. “This show particularly appealed to both my appreciation of dark music as well as my dark sense of humour,” Coxon said in a press statement. “It felt like a good fit.”
