HOLY is a project of Stockholm-based musician Hannes Ferm, originally from Umeå in the north of Sweden. When he made the big move in early 2016, he landed a part-time job at Studio Cobra with Les Big Byrd’s Martin Ehrencrona. At night, he would sneak back in, using what he learned during the day to build his own tracks. The result was his 2018 debut LP All These Worlds Are Yours. “I had a vision around the album that had its roots in the proto-glam-rock era that started to shape in the early seventies," Ferm said in a press release. "But the last thing I wanted to do was to create an album that felt 'retro'. My intention was to play around with the recurring elements of that music, like the lyrical themes and the musical arrangements, but to use them in a way that felt new and relevant — and most of all so they felt like something that I could stand for; something that was genuine.”

Since then, the Scandinavian songwriter has released a slew of singles, including today's featured track "You shine on me", featuring Boys, a project of fellow former-Umeå resident and HOLY bandmate Nora Karlsson. Stream the song below. HOLY will have a new LP out in early 2020.
