Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Pascal Barbare released his third solo LP, Endless Room, earlier this summer via Dusky Tracks. Our Song of the Day, "Go Now" falls near the beginning of the record and is one of the more upbeat tracks on the colorful indie folk LP. The jangly track stands out due to a multifarious amount of percussion driving the beat including hand claps, tambourine, traditional drum, and what I’m guessing is a vibraslap (or some other rattlesnake-sounding instrument, I am not a percussionist).
Endless Room follows 2013's Sorry, Morning and 2009's acclaimed debut Thunderclap Spring. Below, watch the recently shared video for album track “Trouble Thoughts” directed by filmmaker Alex Badham, which sees Pascal as a very unhelpful member of a crew at sea. Badham also directed the video for Endless Room single “Native Birds.”
