Texas-based genre-bending rocker Israel Nash is releasing his fifth studio album, Lifted, on July 27th via Desert Folklore Musice/Thirty Tigers. Our song of the day, “Rolling On,” is the album’s lead single, a lush, harmony-filled ode to perseverance. The album is described as a combination of the “steel-guitar-drenched psychedelic country/folk vibe of his last two releases with layers of echoey '60's-pop classicism.” Nash’s last album was 2015’s Israel Nash’s Silver Season. KEXP is bringing Nash to Seattle on Tuesday, October 16 to play the Tractor Tavern. Below, check out Nash's KEXP in-studio performance from 2016.
