Nashville singer/songwriter Sophie Allison released her debut album under the moniker Soccer Mommy in early March, titled Clean. "Your Dog" is the lead single from the album, a bitter, punk anthem combined with soft-spoken indie, making for an interesting combination. The main repeating line throughout the song is "I don't wanna be your fucking dog" and, on first listen, it's a little shocking coming Allison's sweet, seemingly soft-spoken lips. Her badassery is taken even further in the video for "Your Dog," in which Allison kills a boy and then drags him around the house, drawing eyeliner on his face, and cuddling with his corpse. Clean touted as her debut album, her first in a studio with a proper producer, and follows last August's Collection. Clean is out now on Fat Possum.
