Former Mindless Self Indulgence frontman Jimmy Urine released a new self-titled album under the moniker EURINGER (his actual last name) in October. The record features a number of high-profile appearances such as Serj Tankian of System of a Down and Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance. Our Song of the Day, “The Medicine Does Not Control Me,” features indie-pop sensation Grimes. The frenzied synth-fueled track centers around drugs with lyrics like “I control the medicine” and “Come on, baby, let’s get high."
Mindless Self Indulgence’s last studio album was 2013’s How I Learned To Stop Giving a Shit and Love Mindless Self Indulgence. Last week, Grimes released the first track from her new as-yet-untitled forthcoming album, “We Appreciate Power.” Below, watch the official video for Euringer’s “What a Fool Believes,” directed by Amber Beaton and released last month.
