On the show this time, it’s the potent post-punk predilections of Preoccupations.

Preoccupations is a post-punk rock quartet from Calgary, Alberta.  Their latest album - “Arrangements” - is a bleak indictment of the human race, having wasted opportunities to change - now facing its own inevitable, self induced destruction.  There is no escape - “everything tastes like the bitter end.” We are hopelessly awaiting death. Self-loathing. Staring at the ash and the dust, with “catastrophe eyes.”

This music is relentlessly compelling, begging the question - Why is ruin so beautiful? The record is available on Flemish Eye / Jagjaguwar.
