While I was initially bummed to find out this wasn’t, in fact, a Jason Derulo cover, Hinds’ “Riding Solo” proves to be another shining example of Hinds’ sensational ramshackle indie pop jams. The first single we’ve heard from the band since 2018’s I Don’t Run finds the band sounding more invigorated than ever.
The band shares thoughts on the song in a press release: “Riding Solo’ is about this, about us perpetually on the move, being everywhere and nowhere at the same time, surrounded by strangers most time of the day, being nine hours time difference from our people and what we call home, living and dying por y para la música.”
