On their fourth and latest album LAHS, the Allah Las take off from their '60s-psych west coast vibe, and venture towards different styles. "We’ve been travelling a lot the past couple years," drummer Matt Correia explains via a press release. "And I think that played a role in influencing the broader variety of songs on this record."
Adorned in artwork that resembles a classic tourist postcard (designed by Correia and Robbie Simon), LAHS takes the listeners on a different kind of trip, with Spanish-style guitars on the track “Pleasure” and lyrics in Portuguese on “Prazer Em Te Conhecer.” For today's featured track, the L.A. quartet entice you to find “a place in the shade / For all your yesterdays.”
“LAHS to me feels like a soundtrack to the past 5 years or so,” Correia concludes. “A sort of audio postcard to anyone who wants to listen.”
