Portland-based Katherine Paul, also known as Black Belt Eagle Scout, blends the moody atmospheres of post-rock and the power of Riot Grrrl punk with the musical and spiritual influences of her upbringing in the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community. On her latest record At the Party With My Brown Friends, she aims to uplift and inspire other queer and indigenous voices.
