On the show this time, it’s the hope and light of Australian singer and writer Angie McMahon

Angie McMahon’s new record is an ode to the simplest mantra — “one day at a time.” After the success of her first album she found herself struggling with anxiety and depression. She was diagnosed with ADHD. She moved out of her family home. She embraced being queer. She got really ill. She experienced panic attacks. She had to find a way through. Music and songwriting was one of the things that helped. The new album is filled with cautious hope, self forgiveness, and even joy — celebrating the small and great victories that are simply, somehow, doing what it takes to get on with living. It’s called Light, Dark, Light Again. and is available on her own imprint through AWAL.

Recorded 03/11/2024.
