Beloved Seattle band Deep Sea Diver returned to the KEXP studios this past October to finally play songs off their 2020 release Impossible Weight. Troy Nelson takes us through a deep dive of Jessica Dobson’s discography, from the 2009 debut EP up through Impossible Weight, which was 2020’s Top Album of the Year for KEXP listeners. Kevin Cole then speaks with Dobson about vulnerability and exploring directness in her lyrics while. Finally, Emily Fox spotlights Dobson on Sound & Vision, discussing the musician’s efforts to help support the local houseless community.
