KEXP's most recent in-studio session with Chastity Belt was featured in a round-up of a few of Seattle's stand-out female artists, such as DoNormaal, Tacocat, and TUF, a collective of female-identified, trans, and gender non-binary musicians, artists, and DJs. A Q&A with Rock God Mark Lanegan:

It was Mark Lanegan’s music that drew Anthony Bourdain to Seattle in the first place, as he explains in his Field Notes, writing: "I was immediately inhabited by his voice, his lyrics, the experience of his songs—the darkness, pain, and longing." Watch Mark perform LIVE on KEXP back in 2014: Beyond the Grunge:

Speaking of Lanegan, Parts Unknown spotlighted his longtime label Sub Pop Records, crafting a list of "high-water marks of Sub Pop at its post-grungiest." Check out a KEXP in-studio session from one of those recent acts, Shabazz Palaces. Where to Find Seattle's Best Music: anthony_wheretofind

And KEXP was included in a list of great places to discover local music, alongside venues like The Vera Project and record stores like Easy Street Records. Keep track of all our upcoming in-studio sessions -- many of which you can watch from our Viewing Space -- here.
