Wednesday, June 19th, KEXP will observe Juneteenth — the holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States — with music that celebrates freedom, achievement, education, and building bridges. Tune in from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM that night for a very special show from our own DJ Riz.

World Refugee Day on KEXP

June 20 is World Refugee Day, an international observance dedicated to raising awareness of the world’s refugee situation and to support millions of families all over the world who have lost their homes and families because of violence or war. The day also provides opportunities within local communities to help refugees worldwide.

KEXP is taking this opportunity to celebrate refugees, and the rich contributions they make to our community and our world. Every hour, we will play music from an artist who is a refugee as a show of appreciation and support.
