Don Slack the DJ was created when his alter-ego came up with the radio show Swingin’ Doors way back in 1997 (Don Slack being an old high-school buddy whose name he shamelessly ripped off without telling him about it). While he shares his alter-ego’s love of a wide variety of musical styles, Don Slack the DJ has a special place in his heart for alternative country, honky tonk, western swing, bluegrass and other kinds of hardcore twang. He’s happy to share that love with KEXP listeners every Thursday night from 6-9.
