As the Covid-19 outbreak continues across the globe, KEXP is committed to keeping our community informed – especially on ways this virus is effecting our communities and how we all can help. Throughout this time, we'll be highlighting different resources as they emerge with a particular emphasis on how artists across the globe are being impacted. Below you'll find essential prevention tips as well as resources and stories and other relevant information for music fans.
Throughout this time, KEXP will continue to provide 24/7 streaming music through our website, app, and terrestrial radio. Continue to send in your requests to dj@kexp.org and follow along our social media channels for updates on special programming. In these trying times, it's important to maintain a sense of connection with one another.
"You are not alone. We say it time and again at KEXP. We are all in this together and we will get through it together," KEXP's Executive Director recently said in a statement. "We may need to temporarily alter how we practice "togetherness," but we will remain consistently connected through our mission, and through our deep understanding that music makes lives better."
During this pandemic, everyone has a chance to do their part. By adhering to CDC recommended prevention tips, we all can help minimize the outbreak and help "flatten the curve" to reduce the number of cases worldwide.
Keep up-to-date with changes in our local community by checking King County's frequently updated Covid-19 Resource page.
KEXP will continue to support our community through the creation and sharing of different resources. Below you'll find some of the articles and podcasts we've produced to inform the public on measures we're taking as well as ways you can support your local community. Beyond just the arts community, we're also making available general resources with ways to help yourselves and others right now.
