Sacramento synth-poppers Soft Science are releasing their third full-length album, Maps, tomorrow, June 1. "Undone," one of the album's early singles, was originally released as the A-side of a split single with a cover of House of Love's "I Don't Know Why I Love You" as the B-side. KEXP's John Richards was an early champion of the song, even being quoted on Soft Science's Bandcamp calling it, "One of the best songs of 2018." Maps follows 2014's Detour and was made with help from longtime friend and engineer Eric Stenmen (AWOLNATION, Tokyo Police Club) with mastering at Malibu's Black Bear 11 Studio. Frontwoman Katie Haley says this about the song: "'Undone' is essentially about loving someone through good times and bad. It is about accepting that although there will always be hard times in life, it makes things easier to go through tough days with people you love. For me, those times make me love them more. That unwavering love can be like a light." KEXP is bringing Soft Science to Kirkland Summerfest on Sunday, August 12
