Icelandic dreampoppers Vök recently wowed the Seattle audience during their performance KEXP’s Gathering Space with their celestial take on electronic pop. Our Song of the Day, “Autopilot,” comes from their forthcoming as-yet-untitled album, due out in 2019. Produced by James Earp (Nina Nesbitt, Shells), the brooding electronic beat is overlaid with Margrét Rán’s gorgeous vocals, which tells a story of a relationship heading in different directions. “It’s a really personal lyric but in the same way it’s quite a positive song”, explains Rán.

Vök will perform at this year’s Iceland Airwaves Festival. Below, watch the video for “Autopilot,” which features footage from the band’s recent headlining European tour.
