DJ Comment: "We Are New Here" came about because "I'm New Here" producer Richard Russell wanted to have the album remixed by only one artist. Russell felt Jamie xx was an appropriate fit because he used The xx debut release as inspiration when making the original Gil-Scott Heron version.
