Mark your calendars: Icelandic icons Sigur Rós just announced dates for their North American tour, including a Tuesday, September 20th stop at the Paramount Theatre. A press release declares there will be no opening acts, nor additional musicians. "The shows will give the group a chance to road test new music, the first time since the tour leading up to the acclaimed ( ) album in 2002 that the band has performed new material ahead of album recording sessions. Alongside this experimentation played out in public, the band is also planning on attempting new interpretations of old songs that haven't been played in a very long time. Though the scale of the venues and band will be reduced, the live production will be characteristically stunning, designed again by the team behind their previous Knights of Illumination award-winning tour." French electronic project M83 return with their seventh studio album Junk this coming Friday, and today, you can check out the single "Go!" featuring vocalist Mai Lan and Grammy Award-winning guitarist Steve Vai. In a press release, M83 founder Anthony Gonzalez explains, "We asked for the craziest space solo possible, which wasn't hard for him. He sent us three different takes, and we blended two to make the ultimate Steve Vai solo. It was amazing to work with him." Listen below: [Pitchfork]

Animal Collective share two new tracks today that were previously only available on a bonus 7" exclusive to the vinyl release of their most recent full-length Painting With. Swedish experimental tribal-rockers Goat return with two new tracks. Written and recorded in their possibly-fictional village of Korpilombolo, the songs "I Sing In Silence" and "The Snake Of Addis Ababa" will be released on 7" via local label Sub Pop on September 25th.
