We haven't heard from Scottish band The Twilight Sad since 2014's Nobody Wants to Be Here and Nobody Wants to Leave, but the new year will bring a new album from the beloved group. With the oddly-punctuated single, "I/m Not Here [missing face]", we get a first taste of what's to come on the full-length It Won/t Be Like This All the Time, out January 18, 2019, via Rock Action. It'll be the group's first LP without founding member drummer Mark Devine who amicably quit in early 2018.

In a press release, guitarist Andy MacFarlane explains its inception: "I was attempting to play 'Ogives' by Erik Satie, but I'm really shit at the piano so it didn't happen, but I came up with the music using those chord shapes. So from my perspective, it's a bad cover version of that piece of music."

Frontman James Graham describes the lyrics as "about my ongoing battle with not liking myself, trying to be a good person but constantly feeling like I’m failing myself and everyone I care about."
