Upcoming Virtual Concert Schedule

With music festivals being canceled and venues closed during the coronavirus outbreak, fans are yearning for some live music while they self-quarantine. Thankfully, many artists are turning to the internet to continue to reach their fans. KEXP is collecting a calendar of upcoming live streaming video concerts. We encourage viewers to utilize any digital tip jars or links to purchase music and merchandise, as many of these performers are losing income by not being able to tour. Please note: times and dates are subject to change.

Stephin Merritt: Live From City Winery NYC

From mandolin.com:

Brevity has often been the soul of Magnetic Fields composer Stephin Merritt’s wit. Though his most celebrated work — the 1999 milestone 69 Love Songs, the more recent 50 Song Memoir — has been epic in conceptual scope, the individual pieces of each have most often been beautifully crafted, slyly funny miniatures. Quickies presents his most consistently miniscule miniatures of all, with the longest track, a reimagining of a Shaker hymn called “Come, Life, Shaker Life,” clocking in at 2:35 and the shortest, the no-minced-words “Death Pact (Let’s Make A)”, at seventeen breezy seconds.
