Join KEXP for Sub Pop’s Turntable Sessions: Loser Scholarship Winners edition. Sub Pop has been awarding college scholarships to art-enthused misfits for 10 years! Andrew Sullivan will moderate a conversation with previous LOSER scholarship recipients to hear about what they’ve been up to. This event is free and open to the public as part of Songbook: KEXP’s Music and Storytelling Series. Made possible in part by BECU.

KEXP and the UW Ethnomusicology Archives (UW) are partnering with Seattle Public Library (SPL), Washington State University (WSU) and Moving Image Preservation of Puget Sound (MIPoPs) to help our communities preserve their music memories. We're inviting listeners and patrons to visit our one day "Pop-Up Music Memory Digitization Labs" in the KEXP Gathering Space. Archivists and librarians from KEXP, UW, WSU, MIPoPS and SPL will assist attendees with creating digital copies of their music memories. Join us at the KEXP DJ Summer Series at Brewlab, featuring DJ Abbie and DJ Atticus! Every Sunday from June 3rd to August 26th we’ll be hosting a live DJ set from 2-6 PM (except Sunday, June 24th).
Brewlab have collaborated with DJ Abbie and DJ Atticus to brew a hazy grapefruit IPA just for the occasion, called the “Abbicus IPA (a.k.a. the Goth Kids of Summer)” and it’s the perfect summer beer for listening to some great music on the patio in the sunshine. KEXP has partnered with Pearl Jam in advance of their sold out Home Shows at Safeco Field on Wednesday, August 8 and Friday, August 10 to join in the band’s fight against homelessness in Seattle. On the Afternoon Show with Kevin Cole, we'll air an in-studio session with Badb, a Seattle-based musician who will share their music, as well as their experience with homelessness in our city.
