Grant McLennan and Robert Forster (the two songwriting anchors of Australia's influential art-pop band the Go-Betweens) have reunited for their first album in 12 years, accompanied by Sleater-Kinney and Quasi's Sam Coomes. Not as glossy as their last album together ('88's 16 Lovers Lane), the literate, bittersweet songs and evocative guitar-pop sound fit right in with classic mid-period Go-Betweens.
