An extraordinary album of catchy pop-rock from this Austin singer-songwriter, who's equally proficient at crunchy, psychedelic pop-rock, quietly soulful ballads and kicking out slinky funk-pop jams a la Prince. While big-league production can often undermine decent songs, its use here gives Garza's sturdy tunes the ambitious setting they deserve.
