The latest album from the renowned Cape Verdean singer adds a greater variety of musical flavors to go along with her famed melancholy morna interpretations. Cuban and other Latin styles in particular are well represented here. A number of special guests (including Caetano Veloso, Chucho Valdes and Orquesta Aragon) make contributions without detracting from the smoky beauty of Evora's vocals.
