Low: The Invisible Way
Buy! - (Sub Pop)
The latest album from the veteran Duluth, MN trio was produced by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, and he provides them with a spare, haunting sound that hearkens back to their earlier albums, though it stands out from those albums due to the addition of prominent, rumbling piano along with a greater emphasis on Mimi Parker’s vocals. Still, it’s very much in the mold of classic Low, with mostly slow, majestic songs that leave plenty of room for the band’s stunning harmonies. 3/8/2013 - Don Yates
